After 3 years of consultation & study HRNZ has issued these draft breeding rules & regulations for final consultation. Important topics include: *One mare, one foal, one season, *Foal born from its mum only one registered, *Transfer embryos, eggs and IVF permitted, *Clones, frozen embryos, imported embryos prohibited, *Artificial breeding requires approval. The N.Z. Standardbred Breeders’ Association was founded in 1973 to actively promote the interests of breeders for Harness Racing and other pursuits involving the Standardbred horse. This is achieved through promotion of the breed, advocacy for the industry and support for its participants. We are a membership based non-profit organisation with over 1100 named members and climbing.
