A brilliant family that does go young. mum has already left 3 x $100k winners with perhaps 2 more to come as the 2yr filly sister looks very promising . and the 3yr filly sister will be in this month group 2 Classique and nz trotting oaks the following month.
The 4 yr old sister recently easily beat the GREAT SQUARE winner and will be competing in this years interdoms against Just Believe and co. Her older sister won an incredible 8 wins (and several placings) at ADDINGTON in 1 season and was easily the best performed aged mare on wins and stakes for that season. Her oldest brother won 13 races and about 40 places and beat or placed with a handful of champions over his long carreer. Horses like Sundaes Son, Stent, Escapee. Oscar Bonavena etc.
Burlene Clowers herself was actually very talented and beautifully gaited. But due to a paddock accident has never raced. She was tried after her 1st foal but after being jogged up for 5 month she went a bit rough so she is best to be a mum . Lovely nature.
I will breed from her again definitely but I would like to take a year or 2 off. World renowned breeding expert Australian Peter Wharton has been quoted as saying this breed is very special so I believe this is a great opportunity to breed your next champion.
