Top filly Darling Me has gone to the top of the Nevele R Fillies Series leaderboard following her win at Auckland on February 5.
In the opening heat of the series, the Sweet Lou – Adore Me three-year-old was debuting for Steve and Amanda Telfer after earlier being trained by the All Stars. It was her fourth win in 11 starts.
Shes No Lady (Sweet Lou – Bettor Be A Lady), trained by Steven Reid and Simon McMullan, was second, followed by Santa Maria (Bettor’s Delight – Galleons Supreme), trained and driven by Tony Herlihy.
Heat 2 is at the Hororata Trotting Club’s grass track meeting at Methven on Sunday.
In all there will be seven heats, with the final set down for Addington on Friday, May 14.
